Hi looking for some help on my son's sled. it's a 340 sport , was running good,got towed home last week, running only on mag side , no matter what he tries it will only fire on the mag side. I have been trying to coach him from my wheelchair , I can't get into the shop, he's pretty mechanical for a 16 year old. I searched here and he has tried everything we've read. Tried finding a test for the cdi but from what I underststand they suggest find one you know is working and try it, not a option been looking, $499 at dealer , sled's not worth it. I've read on here that they either work or they don't, if there bad they will not fire on only one? We've changed boot's , shortened the boot wires slightly for clean face,Is there anything else we might look at or try? Thanks

Get me the year of the sled and I will cross reference the part number. I have two cdi's sitting in my shop for twin engines. If it will work for your son's sled I will help you out best I can.

I also have coils as well.

Swap plug wires around to see if the problem followed?
