I have a 1996 polaris 600 triple that the belt won't spin. I put a new belt in it and it ran awesome for about an hour until i got in deep snow. Out of no where it just stoped and smelled like burned rubber. Does anyone have any clue on what this could be? I am new to snowmobiles. I bought an aftermarket belt that was suppose to be the extreme which is what it called for. When I got home which is quite far from the shop notist it was the trail runner that is for 440-500. Please help!

It seems as the clutch isn't grabbing it.....check and make sure the clutch is opening properly
