Wearing Hyfax / Wheel placement

alot of the newer sleds have four wheels in the rear but my 98 polaris indy trail diagram shows 3. Why is that. I did have a broken mid inner wheel so I will replace so I have 2 mid inners and 2 mid outer wheels and 3 rear . Is that right. I'm wearing more on the tails of the hyfax all the way at 180 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeh let me know how yours looks. The curved part in the front is wearing out fast along with the tails. We were riding 2 people but thats what the sled is made for . I dont feel like replacing them every 200 miles. Some people say too tight of track others say limit strap heck I dont know. I'm gonna replace that idler wheel and see if that makes a difference doubt it though. Its mostly in the back..

if you run a lot on hardpack trails, try installing ice scratchers. They will kick up ice and snow and help lube the hyfax for longer life...
