Exclamation 04 rmk 600 Oil pump bleeding

I have rebuilt my motor of my rmk 600, today finally complete the installation and I try to bleed my f.... oil pump. I loose the screw at the end of the pump, let the oil come out and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull and pull maybe 80X time . Nothing come out in the hose to the motor. I try with throttle and no throttle, no changing. Some one see something I need to do, because I see the snow and I'm in the Garage HELP

And would like run with mix gas. for the first tank, How many oil I need to put in 20L (5G). I will use Polaris Synthetic oil.

You probably loosened the wrong screw, or did not take the screw all the way out. Some bleeder screws have to be completely removed, others just loosened. And there is no need to pull the engine over to bleed the pump. Once the proper screw is loosened or removed as the case may be the oil will bleed through the pump by gravity alone.

On the last machine that I redid, I loosened the bolt on top of pump and got the air bubbles out of the pump. I then pre-mixed 5 gallons of fuel and started the engine and watched the new lines to make sure that the pump was indeed working. The oil does take a while to travel from the pump up to the intake port but with the new clear lines it is evident if your pump is working. I don't think that you could turn it over enough by pulling on the rope and get oil through the lines in time to hit the snow this winter.

That 600 should bleed without compete removal of the screw. It should also bleed oil out the top of the pump from gravity feed to get rid of all the air in the pump. If no oil comes out the top of the pump with the screw loose, there may be an obstrution in the line or in the pump.

12 oz. oil for 5 gallons of gas is a 50:1 ratio. When you're cranking, remove the spark plugs and tie the lever arm to the oil pump full on so you don't have to pull quite so many times. Make sure the oil tank is full on your first ride, that way you can easily tell if the pump is flowing any oil.

When I did my 03 zl550 I sat for hours pulling and pulling on the rope trying to get oil into the lines. Did everything by the book but no success. Walked away and came back the next morning, the lines were completely full. No joke. Try letting it sit for a while.

If you are mixing the gas, it's not as much of an issue. If you have clear gas in the sled, running without the pump purged will be running with no lubrication until the pump gets rid of the air. I wouldn't start it until I at least had oil at the top of the pump.

You will have to get that info from the oil manufacturer. Each is different, some mix well, others don't mix very well at all.
