Well I have a mint condition seat of a newer XLT than my 94 and its all one piece where mine is tank alone installed first, then the seat ! Thing is that the one piece seat has a different configuration on the front of the tank and it won't mount into the space behind the carbs due to the 1 inch tube framing that's there! Can I just cut that off and then secure the tank another way? Any thoughts on it will be totally appreciated because besides that I have about an hour worth if work till I can ride !
