Question 99 polaris touring 500 carb syncing questions

Hey guys,
I couldn't figure out how to properly sync the carbs. Is there a write up anywhere on the site? Really I'm not sure where to start. There's the top screw that is attached the slide in the carb, the choke screw and the air intake screw with the spring (that's what it is right?). Where should I start? For some reason I thought I read or heard that when the throttle is pushed all the way in, the slide should be even with the top so you can see all the way through with nothing hanging down. But it seemed like the slide was going way too far up when I pushed the throttle. I couldn't even get the slide to come far enough down so you could see it.

Basically when it first started up after the clean, it felt like the choke was staying on. So I took the choke cable out completely and it ran good. But then I wanted to get it so I could run it with the choke cable in and started messing with everything else and now I'm back here. Just seeing if there's a starting point to put everything at and then go from there to sync it or if there is a write up anywhere.

Sorry if this sounds confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all and happy new year!

I tried and still really couldn't seem to figure it out. I don't know where I should be starting out from. I'm not a newbie but I'm not advanced by all means...
