1988 polaris indy 488 brakes

Hey guys just took my 88 488 out for the first ride of the season and i noticed my breaks are weak. They usually stop on a dime, any suggestions on what to look for that could be wrong?

Thanks

Yep. I would also check for rust or contamination on the brake rotor.

It should be on the same shaft as the secondary clutch between the secondary clutch and the chaincase

open up the box on the handlebars and slowly add fluid as you slowly pump the brakes. if you pump them fast fluid will squirt out of the box at your face. doing this bleeds out all of the air. i had to do it to mine last week, works perfect now!

get that fixed. is it broke off inside? if not just bring the other screw to a hardware store and find one like it.
