Yep you guessed it. Another 600 triple with a bad pto bearing and seal. But the top had been "rebuilt" by the po. So anyways before I put this back together I remember reading about the update. Adding an oil line to the pto side bearing. Can anyone point me to it? I'll keep looking but someone may have bookmark it. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

It's not really an oil line persay, it just entails drilling out the current oil port to a larger diameter. I'm not sure how much larger, maybe someone else can chime in with better instructions.

Well I've read somewhere where u put a 4th line to the pto bearing. Just want to know if someone has done that or have read about it. Just would like to know more details. I've also heard of making the oil gallery larger but I would like to know if that's a better way or ?? Just hate to put it together just to have it fail again if there is something I could have done to prevent that. I like to fix things once and the right way if at all possible. Ill give the oil gallery a look in the am to see if that's been done but I have my doubts. Thank you for the info. And I am sure someone has done this mod or know how its done.

From what I'm finding it seems your right xflyer. The 4th line was a fix for the 97 and newer xlt. And u would need a 4 line oil pump. Found this link for the hole enlargement.

Not sure if I agree with enlarging the hole to the middle to drop oil between the bearings. I would think you would want to drop it to the outside to lube the seal then oil would flow from there across both bearings. Anyone else have experience with this mod or fix?
