Polaris Edge X M10 Suspension

Hello all,
I have done a lot of searching and I can't seem to find what I am looking for: I just recently purchased a 2003 Edge X 600 and adjusted the m10 suspension to fit my weight, anyways while making the suspension harder I noticed that there was now a rattling sound coming from my shock, looking down I noticed there is a loose spring in behind the main spring on the shock. The main spring is yellow, but there is a small black spring in behind the main spring which I can move up an down the shock? I don't see this second spring anywhere? Please let me know if you have any advice? The shock seems to work very well, but makes a lot of noise from the rattle!!! Happy holidays all! And thanks for reading.

Thanks for the quick response! So it's the overload spring, but is it supposed to be loose? Just free to move? Maybe I should grease it so it isn't so loud? Thanks again!

I dont believe it should be loose. Something must got missing or broken - definitely needs to take a look at it. Once you fix it .. it will ride even better. Merry Christmas my friend - WL

I have one. Do not notice a rattle with mine, but I think I need a shock rebuild! GRRR!

The rattle noise you hear MAY be coming from the sway bar sliders. When I first got mine I was like WTF!?!??! I removed the sliders and greased them up = rattle noise is now gone
