A lot of ppl hate the pod filters I know buddys that have used them and they always fell off etc I also know guys that tape up vents to keep powder out. As far as the reeds I think its a common misconception that ppl think they will notice big differences in power etc with them when really you dont

I run vforce in my rmk. I didn't noticed "more power" just a snappier throttle response.

I dont think the reeds really have anything to do with your carbs icing up or frosting ir getting snow in whatever the issue

Are the rubber seals on the air box that the carbs slide in possibly cracked or even popped out? I usually take silicone and that made them stay

Other than that I can't see why try are icing up.

Ditch the pods and get a new airbox! Icing will stop. If your riding pow its the only way to stop it

You need the stock air box and need to make sure you have a good seal to the hood and than make sure the hood vent is sealed nice and make sure carb air box boots are not ripped and are installed correctly

The one suggestion that has not been made is to make sure that your air intake pre-filter (5811337 FOAM,INTAKE PREFILTER) is still in place and intact. I have seen where mice have chewed them to the point where they don't junction as designed.
