96 xlt 600 lighting and gauges won't work intermittently

Hey everyone have a question on my lights and gauges, when I first fire up my sled everything works and lights are on but when I let it warm up I will come back to it and my gauges will be showing nothing and my headlight/taillight won't be working. Wiring looks ok as I cannot see any cuts or open wires showing. When I had it warmed up and brought the rpms up last night the lights and gauges came back on. Just wondering if anyone's been done this road and what I should be checking out next. Thanks.

Is the headlight on but very dim or off completely? This is how my sled acted before the stator went out

...

When I first start it all the lights and gauges are working when I walk away and let it warm up. When I come back to it everything was off, no lights or gauges at all, then last night when I brought up the rpms everything came back on and it worked fine while I was out riding. When I came back and let it idle again everything went out again.

Lights and gauges seem to work fine when engine rpms are up.

The lights should dim when idling and return to full strength when the rpm's are brought up. This question might not apply but what is it idling at?

I am not 100% sure what its idling at but somewhere around the 2000-3000 I believe. When I went out to it last night there was no headlight and the rpm gauge was showing zero and no lights there either.

I am not to worried cause everything worked well when I went for a ride just want to be on the lookout and get it fixed up before the lights and gauges quit on the trail.

Thanks,
Kyle

Check for lose connections as well as stator ohm. Sound more like a put connection crap ground

Thanks I will take a look again in the daylight and see if anything is loose in the connections.
