01 Polaris RMK stalling problem
I have a 2001 Polaris 800 RMK 144. It was rebuilt 2 years ago due to the crank shaft blowing apart. Today we had the first snowfall here in Minnesota. So i had it out for a ride! it started with the first pull and ran great! later on it suddenly started to foul out. so i drove back to my house and replaced the spark plugs. After that it continued to foul out for a bit, and then started to run great. later in the day after eating some lunch i had a hard time starting it. It will idle fine, but once i give it gas it ill either die, or foul out. After alot of pulling on it, and trying to start it, it ran great again. now im trying to start it and finding the same problem of it dying or fouling out when i give it gas.
My buddie mentioned the idea of maybe i blew a gasket, but the engine was just rebuilt not long ago.
another factor is that i broke my windshield off, so now the air intake is exposed. It has a SLP covering over it, so i dont know if this has a factor in to anything.
If you have any ideas on what may be the problem, or some ways to fix the problem please let me know! Thanks
