I was noticing after sitting overnight that when started i was burning and tasting antifreeze so i ordered upper end kit and tore into it. Was thinking Id be able to tell if leaking from head or base gasket no signs of it far as I can tell. where should I look next or any ideas?? sled ran fine just smoked like crazy first 5-10 minutes thanks

I had a 2001 600 Edge that kept leaking it's coolant just sitting on my trailer. I would fill it up the next day and low and behold it leaked again. Finally leaked enought to fill the base and started leaking into the exhaust. Had my wrench guy tear it apart and turned out to be a bad mechancial seal on the water pump. Changed the seal and no more leaks.

I don't believe you have to pull the motor, but you have to strip it down quite a way to get at it.
