700 swap
ok so i have a buddy that wants to sell me his 97 700 triple. the hole sled he said it was a xcr or somthing. but anyways he had a jug that was skord (the primary side) so he got a new jug and pistons along with new gaskets the hole thing. sleds in great shape he wants it gone and i have been looking for a parts sled to pull a triple out of. just wondering if the 700 would fit in my 95 evolved and would the coolers on it keep it cool or would i need to replace the cooler with the one on it. anyways lots of good parts or i fix the sled. he wants 300 bucks for it what to u all think.

In Canada that hood and seat can be sold used for $300+ . Honestly its not much of a gamble at that price. If your really tight for cash and haven't taken on a project this big walk away. You should be able to make that triple run in either chassis but that's just my instinct.

well i can say i am not hurting for cash but i figure the guy is my boss and i could give him a 100 bucks a pay check and the get it i want this project for next summer if anything i will get the sled running and just run it this year then swap it out and part it out next year make some money or i could sell the sled running and make 1000 off of it and by a 600 or 700 liberty engine next year

Go for it! My guess is it's an Ultra? Part it out if nothing else.

EFI would make it an RXL 650? I would run it in the original chassis, if it's not junk. Worth a lot more than $300 in parts.

97 efi triple polaris would have to be the rxl 650. wedge chassis, xtra-12 suspension. if the sled is in decent shape its worth the $300. the ride would be better than your 500. putting the 650 in your evolved chassis would require some fabrication because polaris never did it themselves so you may have to fab motor plate, etc... i would buy the rxl and fix it. then try it out and sell the one you don't want.
