Just wondering if anyone knows the specs on stock early 90's Polaris Indy skis? Dimensions/weight.

I'm an hour away from my sled, and I'm thinking of making a deal with someone for a set of near-brand new plastics on an XLT he's selling. I'll give him my stock steels with skins and carbides for the Kimpex Pros he bought last season, plus about $100. It'd save me probably $250 for new plastics, but he's 4 hours away in a different province, so trying to see what it would cost me to just ship mine and cover him shipping his...

Searched all over online, looks like they weigh around 9 lbs each, so probably looking at about 20 lbs total with skins and carbides, but cant find size. (thinking around a 3 foot by 8" by 6" box for shipping might do the trick?)

I have an identical sled. You are going to want at least 42" long X 6-7"wide(depending on skins)X12" tall with the height of the loops.

Have any photos of that old '93 like mine? Would love to see how they compare. Most of the early 90's Polarises I see online are 440s or 500 EFIs and the only other '93 Classics I find are beat to hell...

I do somewhere. Mine also had reverse, but was removed I'm sure do to chaincase issues...I still have the lever and cable yet.

Very jealous of all those sleds! I wanted to get one of those cobra style flared windshields last year when I replaced mine buy I couldn't bring myself to spend $100 plus shipping for one... Mine was about $65 instead. Might swap it again though...

Thanks, but the 500 is going to have to go. I don't need three of them around. That windsheild is brand new because the other good one broke when the cable to the hood broke and smashed onto the concrete in my garage. Pissed me off. I just got the Rush a couple months ago and can't wait to get on it. We need some snow bad down here.

My cable did the exact same thing with the windshield I have on it now... Luckily mine was just on the grass so it just bent a little bit at the top. Windshields aren't cheap and I can't seem to find used ones around here besides the big honkin' 2-up styles.

You can see the makeshift hood cable I have on there now: 1993 Polaris Indy 500 Classic - Imgur but I just ordered a real one on Friday for $5... Buddy selling the skis that I started this thread about backed out on selling me them, so I just ordered blue ski skins for $45 and new hand warmers since I had to ruin my right one to replace the throttle block, so since I was putting in an order I added that hood cable...
