Hi I just purchased this sled, it's bone stock and great shape/low miles. Just wondering what things I should look out for and how do other people like them for mountain riding?

Make sure all the updates were done, the 08 was the first year for that engine and Polaris recalled every one of them to change out the head and pistons. There were tons of issues with lean burndowns, too. You can contact the dealer with the VIN and they can tell you if the updates/recalls were completed or not.

Other than that, about the only other negative thing is the track. The 2.4" track has a tendency to spin big time on hardpack snow or ice. Some guys shave the tips of the track off and insert screws into the lugs to stiffen the lugs so the lugs don't bend over quite as much. The stock track is awesome in the powder, though.

Okay thanks. I've took it on a couple rides now and I seem to be having an issue. Yesterday I was out for a ride and I rode for about an hour and then out of nowhere it was like somebody turned the key off. So I got off and gave it a pull and started right up and went good for a while again then did it right as I was pulling into my yard. This time it wouldn't start, so then I started playing around with that magnetic key cause it looked a little corroded or something and then I pulled the rope and started right up again. I'm wondering if this could be the issue or if not what else should I look for?
