My customized '95 Indy Trail Deluxe - Feedback?
Hey all! Got this machine late February 2012. I'm a fan of long tracks for the powder so I purchased a '95 Indy Trail Deluxe with a new helmet-still in the box for $700 cash. Now of course these things are an eye sore so here are my upgrades to date:
- xtra-10 suspension
- new idler wheels
- front suspension coils
- front bumper
- newer smaller seat
- cobra windshield
- purple hood vents
- new decals
- handlebar grips
- plastic ski skins
Before and after pictures attached, let me know what you think!

Nice! What a huge difference from those terrible 90's graphics! Good job. You gonna hit those trailing arms and rods with some paint too? I think you can pop off that 2 up step on the tunnel too.

Thanks! Yeah my plan is to pop off those steps before the season begins, they're always a nuisance when i'm standing. At the end of this season I'm gonna sand and paint the trailing arms and rods and tackle the tunnel too by stripping off the old jagged decals. Thought about painting the tunnel black but figured it would just scratch eventually and look tacky

It does look a lot better, however I'd take off those trailing arms and either paint them or powder coat them before they rust through. They are pretty thin to begin with so it doesn't take a long time for them to rust enough to be weak and bend easier.
Also I'd take off the Fox sticker on the windshield, your sled does not have fox shocks. It's all personal preference that matters though.

Thanks guys! And yeah trailing arms will be done at the end of this season. Now that it's getting colder I'm just too excited to work on it, wanna go out and hit the powder!

The fox on the windshield is a totally different fox than fox shocks, that fox is for clothing/ riding gear.

Purple stripe for front bumper? I ordered some custom Indy decals for my XLT since Polaris wanted soooo much money for them. I got some really nice decals very reasonable. I put some tunnel decals on too. AMZoil, Sunoco Fuel, Sled name "VirginiaRidgeRunner" etc. You can also do alot with pinstriping tape (white or white florescent, or other colors) and you can also pull up hood graphics decals on EBay, some of the older decals have great designs.
Nice job so far!
