New Sled This Year! Changed the driveshaft bearings, cleaned the carbs, new carbides, painted the hood screens, cleaned the tunnel, added mirrors, still waiting on the hyfax (they gave me the wrong type, but those will be yellow). READY FOR SNOW!

I just purchased an Xtra-10 rear in what I would consider at least very good condition, with Fox shocks, for $100. Best of all, I found the ad on Craigslist, and it was about 8 miles away, and come to find out, the gentleman that sold it to me, is the new son inlaw of a friend of mine, that I hadn't met yet.

Finally get around to going to the shop to pay for my ripsaw track that I had my dealer holding for me for past 3 weeks and do another inspection of it and realize its not in as good shape as I thought it was, bottom of it looks bad, *#^%!. Time to keep looking I guess with winter around the corner. Other then that I've changed chaincase oil, put SS rumble pack on, greased all the nipples, took some things off the motor gave them nice inspection cleaned it all up, cleaned carbs. Add gas + snow and let's ride

This is a pretty cool thread. Thanks

Today I Replace the nice metal ski's with factory Polaris plastic ski's w/ new carbides on my 97' wedge style Ultra, Installed different sprockets and chain, Added hood screens (painted them red), Replaced the windshield w/ a flared cobra w/ checkered flags, cleaned and installed larger jets in the carbs, flushed the brake caliper and cleaned brake reservoir, greased everything, Sanded and re-painted pipes a couple days ago.

This will be my first year riding it, it is ready to go and I was told to make sure I hold on!! I was also told it will be a huge inprovement over my 650's. I find that hard to believe, but we will see.

Tommorrow I will be tinkering with my 97' Storm.

not mine, but I have been asked to build a 97 700 SKS for my buddy. Here is the list:

new skis
skid plate
reverse
can
powerpacks for carbs
reeds
spacers
1.25" studded track
tunnel brace
hand warmers
clutch springs
clutch weights
clutch helix
top gear
backrest

a lot of work, but it will be a fun trail sled when done..... I will start a thread to follow progress if there is any interest

Today I swap my lower sprocket in my 97 Storm with a 41t and longer chain for a little more acceleration (ya, like it really needs it). Had to replace a coil (ground wire on top was coming out of its hole) and put new plugs in, snugged up my plug boots, cleaned and synced carbs, installed heat shields (just in case) under the pipes because there were none. I also swapped the metal ski's out for a nice set of plastic Polaris ski's. Greased front and rear suspension's and made sure all bolts were snugged. NOW LETS PRAY FOR SNOW!!

Yesterday I pre-fitted and customized my belly pan for my Aaen triple pipes for my 1992' 650 which is machined .040 and installed larger jets. Today I stripped the pipes, painted them and the springs (which I bought at Menards). Then I installed them and they sound almost identical to my 91' 650 with the same pipes which was what I was looking for because they sound very nice, not to loud, but very noticeable. Cant wait to test run it.

Today I re-jetted my 97' Ultra w/ 380's all the way across. I also removed my rear skid out of my 97' Storm. It needs to be welded like almost every other front torque arm in the xtra 10 skids. I will be removing everything, cleaning, greasing and re-installing it on Friday.
