Cool what model are my polaris sleds???

Hello folks,

So i have picked up a couple sleds and trailer for $500.00. I have been struggling to figure out what cc the motors are, and more less the exact model they are. The older one is a 1996, the head cover is light purple in color and says,"XLT xtra lite triple",it also is water cooled. It says rocky mt. king behind the seat by the grab bar. Indy-accs across the hood.

The second one is a 1998 Polaris extra lite indy sport. It is a 2 cylinder, appears to be air cooled.

I would appreciate the help identifying what i have so i can purchase some replacement parts. They both need a little love, the 98 has 2100 miles, the 96 has 7000 miles... Is there still some life in them? Anyhow, thanks for your help!

Thank you for your response,

How do you verify that the one is a 440 and not a 500, and was there other models available for the 96 sled? I appreciate your smarts in the area. just curious.

when you are sitting on the sled there is a tag by your right foot on the side of the sled. it will have three numbers... one is the build date, one is the model number, and the third is the serial number. if you can get the model number we can give you a concrete identification. photos will help too.
