That's good. Looking at one that is stock with 2400 miles. Any known problems or anything to look for on these sleds?

The xc sp is not a tripple. It's a twin.

The XLT 600 is a triple. When Polaris started making their own engines in 97, their version of a 600 was a big block twin. They followed that effort up with a small block 600 twin. then made the HO 600, which is also a twin. Fuji made the triples Polaris used.
I love the sound of a triple

ok thank u for the schooling because my buddys got a 97 triple i did not realise that they stopped using the fuji engines that early now the polaris engines are liberty engines right now if i wanted to can i pit a 600 liberty in my 94 would the mounts line up and would i have to change the driven clutch just a thought
hahaha and the triples are nice sounding other then bad n2 cylinder i know my buddy has had that issue with a older one the 97 has 8k on it never rebuilt

To put a Liberty 600 in your engine, you will probably have to fabricate a mount. They never make it easy It would definitely make a LOT more power, but for the cost of the engine and electronics, you could go a long way to buying a different sled.
The secondary will probably take a different spring and helix. For example, the 2002 RMK 600 (144" track) takes a silver/blue spring with an R8 helix. Your EFI 500 should have a red spring with a 36 degree helix.

So, now that we've clarified all this... Can anyone tell me about the 2002 XCSP 600?

edge chassis. great trail sled. good ride, good power, reliable. check the normal things like bearings, condition, compression, etc. not a lot of big problems with the sled, just check normal issues. if the price is right, it would be a very good trail sled to pick-up. photos?

They are asking $2600, which is too high. What do you think the price should be?

i would try and get it for $2000. sled looks really clean, but for mid/high 2s you are getting into f6/f7 pricing, plus its summer

BC DAN .. not to ruin a good thing .. didnt Polaris make the XC700 first in '97 known as a RMK? I believe the mid season Polaris came out with a limited built XC7 in a 220 version while the early snow checked buyers in '98 also got the same 220 version as well. In a full production in '98, Polaris made a slight changed in their motors and called it a 824 version in the 700s. The 600 shares the same BIG BLOCK engines as their big brothers except they use smaller pistons in them. WL.
