Just picked up my new to me sled

Well its been awhile since I've been on this Forum...really any forum for that mater lol anyways I got rid of my 98 mach z 800 last season I just had to many issues setting it up it was parted together by P.0. So I bought a bike then got rid of that because I seen a sled i wanted it was a 2006 Polaris Switch Back 900. Its a one owner sled motors all stock only has a can
(not a loud one either). Its been studded down the center I counted something like 114. new slides,tb boots, he claimed its ony been on its second belt and that was because he was stuck in deep snow. He seemed like a very straight foward kind of guy So I kinda believe him But I read how these sleds love to eat belts. i think I may buy the slp torque arm and Fire n ice intake then buy the vent kit. Sorry for the long story lol let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Joe

Make sure to get the primary clutch balanced and use the 1115 belt... if it still has the 080 belt, you won't get many miles out of it before it goes...

And the front bumper? It's not meant for pulling on. Beware! You may want to change that out for a Skinz bumper. The 06 sleds also had issues in the RMK regarding the front radiator, most sleds benefit from deleting it. Steering effort in the 05-6 was harder than 07, best by 08. If it gets really annoying, consider swapping to the 08 spindles.

That 900 has a TON of torque, it will surprise you big time! Congrats on your purchase.

There are a few places that do that, I use Starting Line Products. When it comes back, it looks brand new. If the clutch has issues, they will contact you to let you know. You want the clutch perfect, an out of balance clutch is really hard on the crank and crankcase on the big block liberty engines...

They may not listed in their website about clutch balancing. You can email or call them and they will tell u what you need to do to go from there. Good luck WL

Yeah I figured and I emailed them to see what they say.
I'm thinking if I have the clutch off and that far into it if I should clutch it I really want to retain as much stock as I can but if its a must to make this sled last/reliable then I will do it.

Call 'em. Great guys to talk to, they are super helpful on the phone.

Polaris - Machine Shop Services - Starting Line Products

Stock parts in the RMK work pretty well, you may want to consider a new spring..

You should have no problems to keep it at stock. Clutch balancing just assure the clutch is perfect balance to prolong the crank life, especially for the 900. WL
