Polaris 700 in an off-road mini buggy

I'm working on a project and I need some help from the experts here. I'm putting a Polaris 700 motor in a small off-road buggy. Without writing a novel here and boring you with all the details, I'm trying to avoid running into issues if I don't set this up right from the start.

So my question is this: can I mount the secondary clutch and jackshaft higher than the primary and have it function properly? Looks like it would need to be about 6-8 inches higher (as shown in the picture) for what I'm trying to do.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help.

That will work fine. If you look it up, skidoo's new xp's clutches are mounted in the same way. The clutches work independently on centripetal force, so you're good. Just make sure it's the same distance between them as before.

Also remember you'll have to re jet the carburetors for the temperature change.

Example:

Sounds like a cool project, care to share about the vehicle?
