Weird problem..

I have a 93 500 classic, liquid cooled, been working good for the last couple of winter.
Now for the 3rd time this winter, it will start; but will only work on 1 cylinder, i drive around the house like that for 10-15 minutes and then it will kick in two-cylinders,with full power, accel, works fine as long as i dont let the motor become cold again.

I put two brand new plugs on it br8es, dont matter, still acting up.I checked spark while it was acting up:nice blue spark accross both plugs.

Last time i checked compression it was 110 and 115.

any ideas?

start it up in the dark with the hood up and look for a blue light show by your plug wire and caps. You may have a leaky wire.

it is possible the needle and seat is not holding on that carb causing it to fill that side of the crankcase with fuel overnight. The fuel would run into the carb by gravity.
When you try to start it the result would be that cylinder flooding.

Try shutting off the fuel valve when you park it overnight and see if it still acts up when you turn the fuel back on and restart it.

If it's a flooding issue, you will see a wet plug on the offending side. If the crankcase is full of fuel, you would probably hydrolock the engine when trying to pull it over. It sounds electrical to me, an open circuit that expands and closes when it's warm. Sometimes changing out plug wire caps can help that. Most of those screw on the end of the wire and are easy and cheap to replace.
