Anyone ever check there TPS???
I came across a great lil' vid on youtube from a member of slednutz regarding checking & adjusting the TPS (throttle position sensor) and figured I'd spend the $20 to make the tool/device to check mine. Just curious IF anyone here has checked there's ????

Well I took a trip to Radio Shack to pick up the needed items to build power supply. Was funny kid at counter looked at my list and was "like, um I guess if we have that stuff it'd be in one of those drawers over there??" LOL I hope to build it tonight and try it tomorrow

Last night after dinner I sat down and put the "power supply unit" together. Took maybe an hour w/ sipping a beer talking to my girl, etc. I tested my sled today and lucked out as mine was reading deadnut 4.0 @ WOT.
IF anyone is interested in a unit for them selves OR want to rent mine cheap....PM me

That's a bummer. When I build stuff like that, I WANT it to be off to gain some performance on the cheap!
I built one of those, too, and had to go through several radio shack parts to get one that would give a constant 5 volts. You need a good volt meter, too. One that reads to hundredths will get you closer to the magic number. I put 15 bucks into the Radio Shack parts and 120 into a Fluke meter that was accurate enough to read the numbers to the 1/100. I sure like that meter, though!

I agree BC' I was kinda hoping the test would show the TPS was "off" but it wasn't I have a nice Klein meter that I paid around $100 for because I also use it for work.

Nice to hear that you guys liked my video!
The nice thing is that after you check your TPS is that you have the piece of mind knowing that you TPS is set correctly.
Thanks Guys!

I like to search around on all the different forums to give people a hand when they need it. But as of lately i'm slowly switching over to ATV's. Where I live in Southern Ontario we haven't even had more than an inch of snow stay on the ground for more than a day and there is no ice on the lakes and rivers yet. So i guess the next best thing other than a sled is Modding out an ATV.
Thanks wastedincome, Nice sled!!!
