how to remove seat on 99 polaris xcsp

Hi, I just bought a 99 polaris xcsp 700 and I have to get the seat repaired. The seam right at the very back where the seat part meets the backrest let go and I need to know how to remove the seat. Any help/ diagrams would be helpfull! thanks!

Look for two bolts that hold the rear of the seat on. You should be able to access one end from in the tunnel and the other end from inside the storage compartment. With those two bolts gone, pull the seat back, it should undo from clips on each side of the gas tank.

^^^ +1

Also, don't pull up on the back of the seat too much. Yanking it upwards will bend/break the clips or the seat base. You can lift it a couple inches, but don't just yank up on it. Sliding it back will release it from the front clips.

Also, if it has the big wrap around taillight those two bolts holding it down are behind the big center rectangular section. Its not actually a light in the center on mine its a big reflector and the sides do the lighting. But you dont even need to get in there as they are threaded in from the bottom into a nut welded to the taillight/seat frame. poke your head underneath and locate the two bolts about 5" apart very near the end of the tunnel. Thats them.
