2010 Polaris Dragon 800 ( Is it any good )

I'm looking at buying a new polaris dragon 800 because i like the power and the way they handle. I would like to know if they've fixed the motor cause i've heard of lots of guys going through motors and i won't buy one unless they've fixed the problem. So if anyone knows if they`ve been upgraded i would appreciate the insight.

The fix was new 2-ring pistons, a different head, and a reflash of the ECU. Some guys with the fix report a loss of power after the reflash, but they seem to be running ok. Some other guys are still seizing the engines, still makes me worry about Polaris.

2010 800 better ????

From my own experience 2010 800's are not fixed. I have a 2010 800 dragon that is currently in the shop for the 2nd time waiting for new pistons and juggs becaue the pistons are out of specs.

It's not fixed at our elevation. They still blow up and have a terrible bog. 2009 and 2010. They say it's an isolated incident. We are at 0-3000ft. We tried one with a power commander and it blew up. One two hundred mile trip after the flash and another blew up.

AMEN BROTHER! I am no sue happy freak or anything. But these sled co.'s can rape us everytime we buy a new sled and we take it sitting down. "I cant ride right now my sled is in the shop just waiting for the updates." Screw this crap! Its time we get what we want. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Screw chivelry, screw being polite, and screw these big name dealers who fix it and "only" charge minimal shop diagnostic fees!!! Bring back the spine and stand up for ourselves I say!

I have a 2010 Polaris dragon 800 iq with 600 miles on it. There was a recall for an update in January of this year I believe. I took the sled to the shop for the update. I've had no problems with the sled. I'm crossing my fingers though. As for the handling and the power, it's a great.
