The non-VES 800's were about 126 HP. If you consider the sled, get the crank runout tested before you buy, a LOT of 800's had crank issues that resulted in the PTO end of the crank breaking off, often at the piston pin.
There have been a lot of "fixes" for this problem, including keeping the clutch balanced (very necessary), adding a wider bearing to the PTO end (helpful in some cases), and adding an engine plate, torque link, and push stop (also sometimes helpful). Most of the problems are not really crank problems, but rather crank cases that go out of spec and don't hold the crank bearings. Often, the crankcase can be machined smaller and line-bored for about a third the cost of a new crankcase.
Running right, the 800 is a REALLY powerful engine, with a set of twin pipes, the non VES will hit close to 150 HP. A single will give a bit less, but still a nice increase in power.
The GenII chassis with the Xtra-10 suspension is pretty stout, but does not have quite the travel that a newer Edge chassis will have. If you do a lot of standing when you ride, you will want to upgrade to a taller seat, the GenII seat is very low.
Good luck in your choices!!
