xc sp 500 rider

ok, so my dads sled is for sale and pretty soon welll be loking for a new sled. Im wondering if anybodys got some advice on wat sleds are good and wat are not. We are lookking to spend around 4 thousand or a lil more and nothing older than a 06. He wants at least a 600 maybe a 500 hes lookin for a trail slash ditch sled that he can take ice fising. Got tired of the 2 up! MUST BE POLARIS! are there any sleds i should stay away from or that i should look for. there are lots of sleds around here in this catagory.
