new to site . please help

Hi there i just bought a 2002 polaris snow pro and i have a few questions. First question is there is a box under the hood right above the chain case that has different letters on it and you can turn a nob and change it from A to E. what is this for???? The other question is it has walker evans shocks on it and the guy said to pump them up for my weight. is the a special pump for this and how much air can the shocks take. I'm 250 pounds so what should i pump them up to. The last question is the idle is very low on this machine how do i turn it up. this is my first sled so any help will work. Thanks so much

Yes, way too low. Should be between 1500 -1800 rpm.
There are screws on the side of the carbs that have springs on them (these are the idle adjust screws) turn them both in 1/4 turn at a time until the rpms are in the proper range.

That sled has carbs on it connected by a rail , the single idle speed screw is at the top and the specified idle rpm is 1300 +- 200 RPM.

It seems unusual that the idle speed is so low. You may want to look into possible causes before just adjusting it .

If you do reset the idle speed dont forget to re adjust the throttle cable slack or you will have problems with the throttle assurance safety switches causing the engine to cut out.
