2004 supersport rear shock NEEDD HELPPP

Recently I noticed that my rear shock collapsed and will not even support its own weight. Assuming I need to change it does anyone have a better way of doing it without dropping the track?

I was able to change the rear shock on my '01 Edge X with a ratchet, wrench and a prybar....wasn't too bad if I remember right
**careful not to lose the bushings when you pull out the old shock....I did and the new shock didn't come with bushings

Yeah thats what i was trying to do, however all the bolts seem to have something blocking me from removing them. For example, the bolt going through the bottom of the shock itself has a bar right next to it so I can even get it out.

I would take this as an opportunity to pull the skid and inspect/clean/grease all of the components. If you have bad bearings on any wheels, it would be a good time to pop those off and change them.

I do remember it being tight in there....but you know, I agree with drolds...pull the skid. Its really not that hard. Basically 4 bolts on the tunnell, remove chain case cover, then pull the driveshaft (good chance to check your drive bearing as well)

You may need another set of hands getting it back in is all. I am sure there is a sticky here to give you the step by step instructions on it.
