Can i draw 3.2 Amps from my xcsp?

Heyy i just ordered a nice new expensive heated vest, But never thaught of checking the power draw till now (oops) It draws 3.2 amps.

Can anyone tell me if i can safely Draw 3.2 Amps from my 2001 XCSP600? The sled doesnt come stock with a accessory plug, and the one on it is thin and only puts out 8.7 Volts. Mabye i can wire it in somewhere else?

Also can u tell me if its normal for my headlight to be dim at idle???

Thanks alot!!!!!

not sure about the vest.. but if your sled doesnt have a battery then thats why your light is dim. the engine produces more power at higher rpms which is why your light brightens up once you move.

your system at high speed will supply aprox 15v at high speed . If you multiply 15 x 3.2
it would seem your vest would draw around 48 watts. If you add all the loads you have, hand warmers and thumb, headlights and other lights in watts and compare it to the specified output of your stator you will get a pretty good idea of the outcome. It will definitely cause the headlight to dim considerably at low speed as the stator output is lower. Also consider if something goes wrong with that vest like a broken wire or whatever you may be in for a cold ride home if you are underdressed for the weather conditions.

And or In case you burn up your stator by over loading it. Which you might be in for a cold walk home. And thats never a cheap part.

How do u know? My boss figured it out and it seams the vest only draws the same power as two tail lights... Which is nothing rly.
