XLT engine swap

I was just wondering if anyone has every taken an XLT and swapped it out for a twin cylinder? I rebuilt my XLT last season and was thinking if i have problems again I might just swap the triple for a twin.

Water Craft engines = more hp per cc.

Many bolt on hp gains.

any idea of places a person could look for some used watercraft engines? and how do they match up with everything such as the motor mounts and clutching.
