2006 polaris fst touring $5800, Good B uy?

LET IT SNOW!!!
Sled has a 4 stroke turbo 750cc. 1190 miles on it, With extended warr. till 2012. Not that familiar with turbo, or 4 stroke engines. Always had 2 strokes. What do you think? Good sled? Good price? Thanks, Joe

That's way more than KBB lists the sled for, wholesale is $3105, retail is is $5050. That sled is 4 years old now that the 2010 sleds are out.

I ride with a couple of guys that ride FST sleds, the engines have a lot of power and there is very little turbo lag. When I rode it, I did notice a lot of difference in the way the FST handled over my 600 RMK, it was a lot heavier in the front, which would be expected. I liked the lack of smoke and not having to worry about oil. I didn't like the inability to do even simple maintenance on the engine; that's one techno son of a gun. Most repairs will have to be handled by the dealer, the home mechanic will be over their head with any major repairs to the powerplant.

That engine has been great for one rider I know, and not so good for the other. The second guy runs the snot out of it, though

2007 Dragon RMK 700 155", 2008 RMK 600 155", 95 Prowler 550 2-up, Really OLD AC Cheetah

thanks for the info. i looked up kbb after posting. and seen the 5050. im still out on the whole turbo aspect. i read somewhere that the turbos are connected to the manifold and you have to replace both parts if the turbo blows up. thanks again
