.659 volts equates to 4.2 degrees throttle angle on the select monitor. To set to 0 degrees as the book says which is of course the best way to do it you need to adjust the voltage to between .480 and .484 volts.

.480 volts is 0.0 degrees on the select monitor
.484 volts is 0.2 degrees on the select monitor, NEVER NEVER adjust to below .480 volts.

With the throttle closed and the stop screw backed out and cable loosened adjust to between .480 and .484 volts. After that is set turn the idle screw back in until the voltage is close to .659 volts which will give you around 4 degrees and that should give you an idle speed close to the specified 1900-2100 rpm.
Anything below .480 volts and the ECU will default to around 12 degrees even though the throttle is closed.

The select monitor is of course the easiest way to do this as well as the only way to verify the mixture screw is adjusted correctly and also see that the other sensors are reporting proper temperatures and so forth, I decided not to build any more interface cables for the software program this year but I have had a lot of requests to do so , I may look into it again.

I should also mention that after you have finished with the above settings do not forget to re adjust the throttle cable clearance to between 0.010" and 0.030" or you could have problems with the throttle assurance safety switches.

OK. I adjusted the TPS exactly as you said. I set it at .481 then turned the idle screw until the volt meter read .659. I checked the red wire too....5.2v.

Still the same thing. floods at the start up. Once it is running, runs awesome, but really run rich at idle. I also noticed when I looked intot he gas tank as it was running that there is a steady stream of fuel coming back in from the return line. Is this normal? Fuel pressure was 38psi. I am just about ready to part this thing out! help save a RXL!

well the only thing i can say from here is you should download the select monitor program from Rensu. You will need to build your own interface or find someone willing to sell you one I have built for them in years past. Someone may have messed with the mixture screw on the side of the ECU or perhaps the Baro or one of the temp sensors is reading inaccurately. In any case I have taken you as far as I can without a select monitor. There is no way to adjust the mixture screw without being able to read the values on the select monitor

the fuel returning to the tank is normal, as long as the pressure is in spec all is well
