Is anyone interested in this motor? So far the auction has 8 watchers and growing fast so if anyone needs a good condition 2002 liberty 800e engine it will fit in most RMK's, Dragons, XCs, Edge's, XC SP's, and many other polaris snowmobiles 1998 and up and will drop right in (fits into motor mounts).

if my memory serves me right...
so you bought a Polaris 800 xcsp (i think) for way to much money, then it blew up now you have a running 800 engine that will fit your sled and now you are selling the engine? and you keep bumping this post every 3-5 hours? we get it we see the post.....

guess i don't understand...

Yes i sold the XC SP as it was but had already accepted a trade up from a sled from a friend of mine for my apex, and the sled i was traded up for everything is good except the rear end (tunnel is wrecked completely). So i am selling the motor to this sled, but if i had not already sold the xc sp (as i was not sure if this deal was going to go through or not) i would have kept this motor to put in it. Thanks

Wink Had to Relist : New Link

My 800 motor ebay item was cancelled as i had written in the listing that i may end the auction early if it sells locally but appearently that is not allowed by ebay and i did not realise that. I have relisted the item fixing what was not supposed to be there and the new link is:

eBay Motors: Polaris RMK/Dragon/XC/Edge 800 Twin VES Motor 2002 UPGD (item 250387044634 end time Mar-16-09 16:20:43 PDT)

For our 22 watchers and 4 bidders i encourage you to bid again, everything is the same except some of the listing text. Thanks, Dustin Tait.

Why don't you just end the suspense and tell us what your bottom line is, maybe someone here is willing pay your asking price.

Use a picture of your actual motor... No one will bid on something that is like what you have.

Well since i can't guarantee the condition of the inside ill let it go for $800.

I still have the auction on at 8 watchers, wanting to keep that going also:

Tech... I would highly suggest buying else where... Read a thread made by LazyTiger and you will see what I am saying what I am.

I will check into this if they are (and jhelrey this is a different motor then the one from my other XC SP that i sold after putting a rebuilt crank and crankcase in it). This is from an entirely different snowmobile then that one. I am not sure if they are upgraded ves and i will check tomorow morning and reply here. I do however if you are looking for a motor to last a long time not recommend you bid on this one as it may, and it may not, as i took this sled on trade in already in pieces and this motor has not been pulled apart i do not know the condition of it. Thanks

Thanks for the tip...poor memory...even posted in that thread...below is a quote from that post.

"8,500 miles is a lot of mileage and you are lucky it only seized...mine blew a piston at 8,800 damaging the cylinder, crank and cracking the case. (chunk of piston got pushed out the bottom of case by spinnig crank)

Rebuilding the top end is not enough...split the case and have your crank inspected...you should upgrade the PTO bearing.

Sorry to agree with everyone else, you got screwed."
