2001 Polaris 600 classic?

Im new to this forum, seems like the best sled forum on the net so i joined up.
Im close to making a straight up trade for a 2001 Polaris 600 classic, for my 1999 yamaha big bear 350, 2wd. The sled has 1950 miles on it, the sled looks pretty dirty for that little amount of mileage,i think its just been left outdoors every summer so thats why it looks like it does , as you can see the plastics look faded and the seat is torn. If anyone can give me there insight on this sled it would be appreciated. Its by far the best offer anyone has put on the table for my wheeler. Thanks
pictures he sent me were to big so i posted a link. opinions please

Looks like it needs some work. It has the M10 rear suspesion in it good ride. needs a snow flap they over heat without them so that would worry me.ask them to take it for a ride see how it runs. Not to bad for a 2wd quad trade. The 600 had over heating issues as it is so thats the only thing I would really worry about.check the track to if they sit on dirt all summer they'll crack and rot.

cool thanks alot.. i know the guy that owns it lives on lake winnapasauke
(biggest lake in NH) and he did alot of lake riding, its his ice fishing rig. Its got 1950 miles so if there was a over heating problem, what would happen? blown head gasket? im a harley davidson technician and have never owned a newer liquid cooled sled. Ive replace pistons, rings on 2 stroke dirt bikes. so would it be a big deal to fix anyway?
I dont think thats a problem because he told me he has a huge yard and i can ride it around..
i really appreciate the info.
thanks

Doesnt look to bad... Like someone said, it will need a snowflap, and look realy closely at the track and pull on the lugs to make sure there not all rotted... B4 I bough my polaris xc the guy let it sit outside all summer and i had to replace the track cause lugs were ripping off..

honestly i didnt, i road it and it fely really nice..
i traded the kid for my 4 wheeler and my wheeler has a huge list of problems(ex. bad brakes fr. and rear, no battery, carb was way out of wack), i just barely could get the thing running for him to try out but the kid was a yuppy that mommy and daddy gives whatever he wants and he wanted that wheeler so i got the sled. him and his dad thought the sled was a junk because of the track(has a few holes in it from poorly placed studs hitting wheels), it fouls plugs once in a while, and it has some scratches on the hood. but its only got 1950 miles on it so it aint bad. i did the NADA value of the sled and my wheeler and i def. made out on the deal, my wheeler was worth $1800, his sled $2700.. i figured with the condition of my wheeler that a trade like that is perfect even if i gotta put some money into the sled..
ill do a comp. test though now that its in my shop.. whats a good reading?

sounds like you realy made out.... ideal compression is 150... but even if its down at 115 or so its fine.... as long as the numbers are close together for each cylinder
