Talking Indy Lite 340 Monster Edition

Here's the stroy:

Its a 1994 polaris 340(the sled i grew up riding) and has just gone through the family since. My little 10 year old brother parked it along the side of the house last year and the ice off the roof slid down and smashed the hood. So we just duck taped it last year but it was getting to mangled this year and needed something else done. There is no need to buy a new hood for it since he is probably going to be the last one in the family to ride it so i did this. I screwed on metal sheeting and just restyled the hood. Then i left the choice of what to do about painting it up to him, he came up with just wrapping the whole thing in Duck Tape. So that's exactly what we did and it turned out perfect, every time me and my family pull up on our sleds and he brings up the rear everybody goes over to his sled thinking its painted! They love it after the find out its all duck tape and he does too and thats all that matters i did it for him and he enjoys the sport. I just recently shaved his hood down to so he doesnt need to stand the whole time he rides now to see over the windshield. I have to still paint the shocks, bumpers, and tunnel for him next then it will be finished.

That is VERY cool. My oldest son LOVES duct tape, he has a duct tape wallet that he actually USES... (he's 17). He was VERY impressed by the tape job!

Two thumbs up for keeping that Indy on the snow!

Yea he's ten and he loves it to death. It is still the most reliable snowmobile we have had even after all these years the sled has just around 18,000 miles on it and we have NEVER replaced a thing but a pair of plugs here and there. It starts every time with just three pulls!

Great job! Looks real cool! Those Polaris 340's are amazing, I had a 1990 Indy Sprort 340 when I was 10 and they will never let you down! 18000 miles is amazing! My cousin has a 1993 and it has 10000 miles on it with nothing but plugs and a belt too!

beautiful! (THATS AWESWOME MAN!!) I was wondering i have a rip in the back end of my seat above the trunk do you think that duct tape would do the trick? Is that what you did to the rear of his sled?

I give it 10/10 man! and 13k miles!
My 93 XLT has 7k on it Still rides strong with some TLC for the XLT.

This is true to my sig: Ride the best, Dust the rest, Ride Polaris!

Yea, that's exactly what i did to the back of the seat to make it match, after three long hard rides it has held up perfect! Make sure to put like two or three coats of tape though, that's what i did.
