Bad Intermititent Bogging Problem...............

My sled started out working great today...
for about 15 or 20 mins then started bogging and stalling when stopping... found a loose plug tip...screwed it on tight, then it worked fine.
About 10mins later while going thru some new powder the sled seemed to bog even more.....and it countinued to bog for the rest of the day intermitantly (another hr or more). Funny thing is it sounds like its idleing fine, starts 1st pull to.... and when takeing off agressively there is no bog, but as soon as i start maintaining a consistant speed or back off the gas alittle the sled will start bogging again. Not enough to stop the sled but enough to have lack of power and keep me at a top speed of about 30mph or something (speedos broke). so i found myself slowing the sled down to a crawl then speeding up to get the sled up past the "bog's" top speed and it worked for a few mins anyhow.
Im going out in the morn. hopefully to figure out the problem.
Ive been thinking of everything from clutch to fouling plugs (new set tho) to a bad belt (also new) to who knows what?
any ideas?

I had a similar problem the other day. It turned out to be a clogged fuel filter.

i have a 1992 indy 500 as well. when i hold trail speed at around 55 ish and try to speed up it bogs 4 a second then finally picks up. this problem progressivly got worse and worse and after riding one day i tried to start my sled up 3 hrs later and it idled at 4,500 RPM. bad air leak somewhere that just got worse. iam still trying to fix it... the ONE thing i would check first would be your carbs. clean out all your carbs good with carb cleaner. also a polaris dealer told me sticking carb floats could cause this...

Make sure the belt isn't excessively worn, or the clutches aren't sticking.

ok
like i said the belt has only about 3hrs of use on it (2 days) sence it was new.
...But how can i check to make sure the clutch isnt sticking? also how do i fix them? Cause i kinda feels like its in the wrong gear ratio when it bogs....its got tons of power from take off.

""quick update""
so ive been reading up alot on how clutches work and so on.... And i really think thats my problem now....
sence it accelerates fine under hard take offs and its an come and go problem.....i have a feeling that when my sled decelerates or maintains speeds it doesn't downshift and sticks in high gearing position.
Now to track down what clutch is sticking or causeing this issue how can i test it???
I'll report back my deflection measurement when i go out to take a look at it.
Am I wrong to first think its my secondary clutch not closeing when it needs to.....or is it my primary clutch not opening when it needs to,,,remeber this is all on deceleration?

Yes, you will need to use a clutch puller.

Yes and you need one specif to the sled and or clutch. My XC 600 puller will not work on the newer clutch with the ring gear on it like yours.
