Cant Get My Sled To Fire Up

I Have A 92 Polaris Indy Trail..bought It For $100....i Cant Get Gas Up To The Carbs...
I Replaced All The Fuel Lines On The Sled And In The Gas Tank Too.i Added A Inline Fuel Filter Before The Shut Of Valve.....one Line Was Cut Off The Fuel Pump And A Guy Told Me It Should Go To The Engine Block Because It Runs Off Vacum/pulse Off The Motor...i Pull The Choke And It Wont Fire...i Sprayed Some Starter Fluid In Each Carbs And Add A Lil Oil In Each Cylinder.before I Started It .(someone Said Starter Fluid Is A Big No No For Sleds..i Did It Just To See If The Motor Would Sputter Up Enuff To Get The Pump Movin. Motor Sputtered And Died... I Wont Be Doing That Again.)i Think Maybe It Might Be The Feul Pump..also I Found That There Are 2 Hoses That Are Pluged Off Under Each Carb(1 Hose Per Carb) Should They Be Pluged?..how Can I Check The Fuel Pump? Can I Rebuild It?
I Also Have Electric Started If That Helps.

I Dont Know Much About Sleds Except Thy Look Fun To Play With ...

Thanks For All The Previous Help ..the Site Rules Because Of You Guys...

Thanx

I'd check to see if the spark plugs are sparking. Sounds like a bad fuel pump. The hoses underneath the carbs should be plugged, and well sealed. They are there to catch any extra/unused gas, which eventually gets burned.

Yes, there should be a line that goes from the fuel pump to the engine block. Is the line still cut off, or did you replace it? The fuel pump will not work without it.

I REPLACED IT ..ONE OF THE GUYS IN THE SHOP SAID ALL LINES NEED TO BE TIGHT SO THERE IS NO AIR IN THE SYSTEM AND I NEED TO JUST PUT SOME GAS IN A SQUEEZ BOTTLE AND SPRAY THE CARB TO SEE IF THE MOTOR WILL PRIME THE PUMP...HE SAID IT TAKES A WHILE TO PRIME A FUEL PUMP....

THANX FOR THE HELP..

yeah and if you decide to replace the fuel pump, most dealers can order a new Mikuni fuel pump which is much cheaper then replacing OEM ones, i just ordered one and it saved me 40 bucks.

i know i sounds dumb but are all your lines good still.... also is there fuel in the tank if all the gas leaked out some how you may be empty....just a thought a shot in the dark maybe but you should check it if you didnt.
cause if you pull of the line to the carb and pull it a few times you should see gas comeing out.
