2004 700 XCSP EDGE Suspension removal

I want to remove my suspension but I seem to need a special wrench to hold on to the back side of the bolts that are holding the suspension in at the very rear of my tunnel. It looks like I need a very thin wrench to grab onto them. It looks like its a 7/8 wrench that needs to be milled down to a certain thickness. Can anyone confirm this size?

Nope

No, but I took a 7/8 wrench to work and milled it down. Have not tried it yet.

You can buy open-end wrenchs that are slim.

Sometimes you can loosen one side with an air wrench, then retighten it, then loosen the other side with an air wrench and then go back to the first side to completely remove. Often, they are a bugger. Grinding down a cheap wrench and having it in your toolbox is an inexpensive addition to the toolbox...

The only problem is that the heat of griding it will remove the temper and weaken the wrench.
Buying a slimline wrench is a better option because its molded to be thin and you wont remove the temper with the heat of grinding it.

If you have a variety of tools with wrenches included for changing a blade,etc... try one of those.
