Cool Hello All

Well I have been doing a lot of reading here before and after I bought my new sled. This is a great site packed with great people and great information. I recently bought a new machine that I am very pleased with and I have not even ridden it yet. I purchased a 2002 RMK 700 144" x 2" with a MBRP exhaust. It is in excellent condition with low miles.

Anyways I am getting ready to do some pre season matience on it. I have already changed my water pump belt and have greased everything and checked everything over. I am stumped on the carbs. My other sled just had your basic carburatour set-up and it was a very easy task to clean them. I am not sure if this sled will be as easy. I am very unfamiliar with flatslide carbs and carbs mounted on a rack. Could anyone chime in and let me know if this is just as simple as other basic carbourators or is this a more difficult job?

Also I want to put a water tempature gauge on this machine. I have read that polaris discountinued the gauge for their sleds. I am now wondering if there are any aftermarket gauges that would mount on this sled and if so would they match the other white faced gauges. Also how hard of a job would it be to mount a water Tempature gauge in this sled if I had to get a new tempature sender and everything???

Thanks A lot,

Jason

You can probably find a used temp guage on eBay.

Well I have been doing some reading about installing a tempature gauge. I think that if I buy a basic automotive gauge and a sender to fit the hole that is there for the stock sender, I think I will be able to wire it into the other gauges for power. What do you guys think?? The only thing I am confused about is if I buy a DC powered gauge will I need a rectifier or not?? I have read that a meter actually tells you that the ski-doo power is AC but a ski-doo is actually putting out DC power. Can Anyone chime in on this??

Thanks Alot,

Jason

PolarisIndy500 put a temp guage on his sled, maybe E-mail him for the answer? Look him up in the search.

Jason
