clutch config

1998 700XC

Does anyone have any sugestions on what configurations i should use for this 700 clutches or are all machines different??

i have been doing alot of research on clutches and it all seems pretty overwhelming at this point so i'm not sure what a good starting point would be.

Find a kit manufacturer and see what they offer for your sled. Cudney makes them I think.

It really depends on your riding style. For mountain riders, an easy engagement (to keep the track from trenching) is preferred to a hard, quick engagement. Stock springs/weights/helix work pretty well in most conditions. Where do you feel you need more performance? Once you have identified what you have and what you want to change, then you can make good decisions on what to put on.

Sometimes new springs and a good cleaning works wonders on a sluggish sled...
