Peak power rpm

1998 700XC

First of all thanks to everyone that has helped me out on this site. The Skid installation was a breaze once i knew what i was doing wrong, so thanks again.

Todays question is a simple one i think. I am going to start doing some clutch work on this sled and need to know what the peak power rpm is on the 700. should i be shooting for 9000, 8000, 10000, what should that primary be dictating.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

I want to say unmodified best RPM for the 700 is right around 7900 to 8000 RPM. Somebody else may want to come in and confirm that. I'm not at home (where my manual is).

Stock is usually between 7600 to 7900 rpm as peak hp range depending on whether the engine has one or two pipes.
