Repair Manuals

Hello everyone newbie to this forum and the sled world as a whole. I'm was wondering if anyone here knew of a website that has specs or other general knowledge like that. And also if anyone knows of the best place to get repair manuals. Nothing is wrong with my sled i just like to have a manual in case things happen plus i also go through them to learn everything about what i'm working on even before it needs working on...lol. I'm mostly into motorcycles and threewheelers so i know where all that type of stuff is for what i'm usually working on. I just picked this sled up on a trade for a threewheeler. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

What kind of sled did you get? Don't get the Klymers or the Haynes manuals they suck. Get the factory manual for your sled.

I picked up a 1997 Polaris Indy 600 XLT Special. I traded a 1983 Yamaha YTM200ERN which is the same thing as Honda's old BigRed. I think i got the better end of the deal.

Polarisman.com for your specs. If your sled is newer than you can get some info off of the polaris website. Check ebay for the manual and if they dont have it, I think you have to get it from polaris. Welcome to the sport and the forum.

search ebay for cd manuals. They will end up being much cheaper than the paper manual you get from the dealer. A true Service manual will run you $100 or more. A CD can be found for $20 or less.

Hi,
If you go to snowmobileworld.com and search for Polaris service manual, a young lady has it on a site for free. All 722 pages (Polaris 1996-1998). If you cant find it, let me know and I will look for link. I think it is to large of a file to send to you .

You should be able to find a Service Manual for the 96-97 Polaris sleds on eBay. I found one, cost $2.50 for it - it was burned on a cdr. 900+ pages!! Sucks to pay someone for a cdr, but for the price, what the hell....
