1994 Polaris 650 rxl

Hey, im new to this forum guys. I recently bought a 94 650 rxl and was told it was not running. I imediatly bought 3 new spark plugs but noticed no fuel was getting to them. I was able to get it to fire by feeding each cylinder a small amount of gasoline. I bought a new battery and was able to get gas to each cylinder and start it but it would die after a while of running. I'm unable to get it started at all now. Any comment on this sled/help is appreciated thanks!

I assuem this machine is fuel injected model due to the use of the battery. If so I know with my dads sled you turn the key on and the fuel pump primes, one pull pump primes again second pull it starts and should here the pump kick in during this process. Start there. If not fuely there are things you can checks.
These machines if fuely can be good but can also be fun to find the problems.
If you can get it running again I here a Mistubishi scanner will read the computer incase there is a fluke in the machine.

Yes its fuel injected, i hear the pump kick in every pull. It takes quite a few pulls to get it to sound like its ready to start but lack of fuel. I think ill start at the injectors and work my way from there. Thanks guys

Is the red led on the ECM lit, If it is, is it flashing or constantly on. If its flashing count the flashes (ie flash flash flash flash etc) the example would be a code 22 If its on steady look for posible bad fuel line esspecally (sp,) in the tank causing an airleak into the fuel system, also a plugged filter. No light or intermittent light is no power getting to the ECM

should light when the ign is on, make sure the battery is fully charged. Low voltage on RXL's make all kinds of goffy sh!t happen.

Wow guys i have a story for ya. When i did get the snowmobile running the first time i had the sleds back end propped up. There was about a half tank of gas in it and i lowered it to go put it in storage. Right when i got in the shed the snowmobile bogged down. I brought it back upto the shop to tinker with it when i started this thread. After i cleaned up the injectors and took the throttle body off or whatever it is, i decided to check the fuel lines one more time. Before when i checked them the sled was propped up and fuel was getting through. Now there is nothing going through the lines. I look into the gas tank and there is no hose going to the bottom of the tank that feeds the fuel, it must have rotted off. Picked up a new one of those put it in and once the system got primed it started right up . This sled fricken hauls, it bogs a little at first..can anyone tell me why? But, when the thing kicks in your better hold on tight.

They are known for that, I have had the old mans out did the same things cleaned up clutches and set secondary belt height and spring tension made nice difference, you can play with engagement RPM with springs, also belt starting position in secondary, should be fingernail clip above edge.

I also have an rxl but slightly differerent problem that im hoping to get some help with. After starting it runs fine until it gets warmed up, then it shuts off, don't know if its something with fuel, or charging system, or what the deal is. if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks in advance

The plugs look fine, i think its a charging issue i talked to the previous owner, and he said that if he charged it all night he could ride for a whole day but after that it wouldn't run, i might try new battery, however its not that old but its a cheap walmart one
