Yup. Someone must make heavier springs for sleds.

see im curious about the same thing. ive been searching on pure polaris for replacement springs for the same reason...ive grown up a bit since when i first got the sled.

also besides the "track" springs, ive got a coilover rear spring/shock set up in the "center"...if i get heavier springs, can i replace the coilover with a regular fox shock?

The replacement shock will have to have a coilover on it also, remember, the shock just dampens the bumps, not hold the sled up. Maybe less donuts.....

sorry, i guess cow fest really had an adverse effect on me!

anyway...can you get coilover shocks re-built? i know they make replacement springs for the coilover, but if im going to do that, i might as well get it rebuilt.

I'd say PM sesnopro. He knows a lot about rebuilding them.

If you can get a performance manual for your Polaris sleds, they list all the optional springs for them I'm somewhat of a bigger fella myself and I installed the heavy springs on all the sleds i've owned, XLT'S,XCR'S, GEN II and edge chassis. Also If the shocks are rebuildable you can stiffen them up alot. I change valve stacks on mine and oil viscosities, to improve the ride. But you have to have FOX or RYDE FX shocks as the nitrex shocks on polaris's are not rebuildable I have done all my own shocks since the early 90,s and found that most of the time just reworking the shocks will solve most ridability problems

Anything stock pretty much sucks!

looking at $250 for all 4 if there off the sled for a rebuild and revalve, This includes kits, oil, valve plates, and nitrogen charge. Any hard parts extra ( i.e shafts, bearing caps, pistons, etc.)
