When going down packed/groomed trails, i can feel my sled yanking left and right when the handlebars are straight. When i lift it up and try to turn the handlebars while holding the skis, there isnt any play.... anybody have any suggestions? Its perfectly fine in powder....
Skis are probably toed in or to straight. Check your ski alignment. Put a bungie between the ski tips. Measure the center line 12" in front and back of the ski post. You should be toed out 1/4".
There are numerous other post on ski alignment.
Skis have a certain amount of slop, that is, they will move in and out in reference to the other ski. Any time it toes in, it will dart.
Powdered is, of course, more forgiving. More slip.
Tell ya one tip, I put same duoble runners that I have on my 05 tourer on my xp, that made a world of difference, and Polaris steering I find on these Edges is good to start with, just my 2 cents
