I blown my motor this winter, I just found I have 2 different cylinder on my sled, One has 3021866 on the side, this one is ok, the other one has 3021767 This one piss me off the skirt is broken.

Witch one is the right one for my sled. 2008 RMK 700 155.

Thanks :nerd:

Send your cylinder to Millennium Technologies or US Chrome and it will come back good as new for about half the cost of a new one. Send them a new piston and they will fit the piston to the reconditioned cylinder, as well. I broke the skirt off my 700 last season and Millennium fixed it up, no problem. It's amazing what they can do. My broke cylinder was also the 3021767, it's likely they went to a slightly different design for better longevity. That's a guess, mind you.

I'm not sure who you would send to north of the border... you might call one of the dealers to see where reputable repair facilities are located if you don't want to send your stuff south.

If you look up the number on the Polaris website, the 3021767 part was used in the 2007 and early 2008 sleds. The other part number is used on the 2008 700 sleds and the 2009 and 2010 RMK 700. It's likely that your sled was built when they were making the transition to the new part and they used what cylinders they had on hand.

It's similar to the Indy and GenII 700 with the 220 and 824 cylinders. You can't get the 220 cylinder now, if you order one, they ship you an 824.

I feel your pain...

Here's what mine looked like... and the cylinder back from MT at the end...

Auto part Automotive engine part Engine Carburetor

Broke piston

Auto part Engine Automotive engine part Carburetor Machine

Broke crankcase

Auto part

Broke Cylinder

Auto part Automotive engine part

Same cylinder after repair by Millennium Technologies

How many miles (km?) were on the sled? I've been reading that replacement of the pistons at around 3000 miles (4800 km) may keep the piston from breaking. I know if I keep my 700 that it gets new pistons if I ever find enough snow to ride that many miles.
