polaris storm 800 and 750 questions

Hi,
I was wondering are they reliable?
how fast?
whats the suspension like?
could you jump it?
what MPG they get?
how do they handle?
would it beat a yamaha viper 700 and 900 fusion?
are they rare? or common?
Just curious
and the same questions for the 750 storm as well.

Thumbs up

These are very fast sleds on top end. Mine has been very reliable. It usually starts in 2 pulls unless it is very cold then it takes 3. The OEM rear suspenion on the early Storms had only 8" of travel(93-95) and the newer ones have the Xtra-10 which is better peforming skid. I got about 11MPG last year. I have not seen to many around but have seen many for sale on ebay. The engines in these do not like to putz around and prefer to run above 5000RPM. I have redeared mine over the summer to make it more trail friendly(21/37 Storm SKS gearing). This has made a world of difference on the trails. Top end is still scary fast.

Like I said scary fast. I've heard about replacing the front spindles but am unsure what year & model to get them from. I also replaced the stock rear suspension with the Extra-12 and it has made a very big improvment. Love my Storm. NOTHING GOES LIKE 3 HOLES.
