well I finally found the serial no. and did a search on it. It turn out the tractor is a '59 D14 w/ TS1000 loader on it. I was playin around with it yesterday and blew a hydro hose. Blew fluid all over me. Boy did that ever suck. I'm glad the muffler was between me and the hose. I probably would've got it in my eyes.

Replace ALL the hoses while the machine is down. They could probably all use it. That way you won't be stranded again!

Well we replaced some hoses today. I filled the fluid back up, and the tank leaks. It has a crack on it. The tank is built into the loader frame. It looks like it was welded b4. My old man was PO'd.
He always seems to find the worst deals. He said that he's gonna cut his losses ans sell it. It's probably for the better. It does need some work. Maybe I'll buy it. It's a good old tractor. Just needs alittle TLC.

Yah, it can be welded. It looks like it was welded b4 possibly. He's just mad because the hose blew and then this. You know thw ol' 1 2 thing. Plus hes mad because it doesn't pull stumps out very good. It takes awhile and he's a very impatient person. b4 he bought a tractor, I told him that the stumps were gonna be hard to pull because of the main root(Jack pine stumps), but instead of listening to his kid, he listened to someone that has a tractor 3x's bigger than the one we have. Other than pulling stumps, the tractor works real good.

I'd stick with it if possible. If not, you could always sell it, it's the time of year to do so.
